Lent By Candlelight – Hope in the Darkness
We reverently think of Lent as a time of darkness. We treasure the deep meditations and rich music that point to the price of our salvation. “Hope in the Darkness” is a program for believers to gather and remember the darkness of our guilt, pain, and unbelief. Meditate on Peter’s denial as he was sifted by Satan. Sit with Mary in her grief that was prophesied by Simeon. Hear the confession of a Roman centurion and remember the power of the cross to save unbelievers. But most of all, see Jesus who purchased hope and the forgiveness of sins because he loves us.
